About Us

CenterSpace Software was founded in December, 2002. Our mission is to develop enterprise class numerical component libraries for the .NET platform. Our team has extensive experience developing high-performance, analytic software tools.

Trevor Misfeldt, Co-Founder & CEOmisfeldt@centerspace.net

misfeldt_headshot Trevor has held demanding development positions for a variety of firms using C++, Java, .NET, and other technologies, including Rogue Wave Software, CleverSet, and ProWorks. He is a co-founder of a PEO company called JobArc. He is coauthor of The Elements of Java Style , The Elements of C++ Style, and The Elements of C# Style, published by Cambridge University Press. He has also served on a course advisory board of the University of Washington. His teams have won the JavaWorld “GUI Product of the Year” and XML Magazine “Product of the Year” awards. Trevor holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia and a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Paul Shirkey, CTOshirkey@centerspace.net

shirkey_headshot Paul Shirkey has contributed to a wide variety of creative technical projects as a team member or project manager in his career. Paul has developed control systems for a silicon wafer planarization tool for Intel Fabs, built unique error detection systems for large spreadsheets, and designed & built the worlds first air-hockey playing robot while at the University of Illinois. Recently, he was part of the development team that designed and built a novel high-speed wood grain-angle sensor. As a student Paul enjoyed multiple internships at Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer. Paul holds a MS in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Oregon State University.

Ken Baldwin, PhD, Co-Founder & Senior Scientistbaldwin@centerspace.net

baldwin_headshot Ken has developed recommender systems for Strands, mathematical and statistical tools for MathSoft, C++ and Java class libraries for Rogue Wave Software, semantic networks for Microsoft, 3-D modeling and animation tools for Cubicomp, and web-based learning systems for Medlink and the Stanford University School of Education. He is co-author of The Elements of C# Style. Ken holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a BA in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Sanjai Tripathi, Director of Business Developmenttripathi@centerspace.net

tripathi_headshot Sanjai has worked in business and product development for a number of companies with software-service components, including Bauer Labs and ZAPS Technologies. He enjoys working with customers and stakeholders to provide solutions to complex problems. Sanjai holds an MS in Microbiology and MBA from Oregon State University.

Steve Sneller, Research Scientistsneller@centerspace.net

sneller_headshot Steve has worked as lead architect for the Analysis Products at Rogue Wave Software, has developed Web Services applications for Hewlett-Packard, and has written software for flight test data analysis for the Boeing Company. Steve holds an MS in Mathematics from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a BA in Physics and MA in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
