DoubleSymPDTriDiagFactFactor(DoubleTriDiagMatrix, Boolean) Method

Factors the matrix A so that self represents the LDL' factorization of A. By default the condition number for the matrix will not be computed and will not be available from the ConditionNumber method.

Parameters

A DoubleTriDiagMatrix: The matrix to factor. The matrix is assumed to be symmetric.
estimateConditionNumber Boolean: If true the condition number for the matrix will be estimated. This is a rather computationally expensive operation for large matrices.

Exceptions

Exception	Condition
MatrixNotSquareException	Thrown if the factored matrix was not square.

Remarks

Only the main diagonal and first subdiagonal of the matrix A are referenced. The superdiagonal of A is ignored.
