| IOneVariableDRootFinderFind(OneVariableFunction, OneVariableFunction, Interval) Method |
Finds a root within the interval.
Namespace: CenterSpace.NMath.CoreAssembly: NMath (in NMath.dll) Version: 7.4
Syntax double Find(
OneVariableFunction f,
OneVariableFunction df,
Interval interval
)
Function Find (
f As OneVariableFunction,
df As OneVariableFunction,
interval As Interval
) As Double
double Find(
OneVariableFunction^ f,
OneVariableFunction^ df,
Interval^ interval
)
abstract Find :
f : OneVariableFunction *
df : OneVariableFunction *
interval : Interval -> float
Parameters
- f OneVariableFunction
- The function.
- df OneVariableFunction
- The derivative of f.
- interval Interval
- The interval.
Return Value
Double
A root of
f within
interval.
Exceptions Remarks
Iteration stops when either the estimated error is less than the tolerance,
or the maximum number of iterations is reached.
Setting the error tolerance to less than zero ensures that the maximum
number of iterations is always reached.
